Nail high up on the drip edge so that the shingles will cover the nails.

To install a drip edge on a newly constructed roof or on a re roofing job attach the drip edge along the roof s eaves first.
Apply a continuous bead of cement along the top of the drip edge then press down on the shingle.
Next attach drainpipes to carry water from the downspout outlets to the ground and away from your house.
