How to install vinyl siding around a curved window.
With the insulation backing in place install siding to within one row of the bottom of the window.
Draw a line on the wall along the top of each siding course before you pull the nails.
Place the piece of siding to be installed under the window along the bottom edge and hold it where it will be located horizontally along the wall.
Next measure and cut the siding to fit the measurements of your soffit and push each panel into the j channel.
To stiffen the trimmed section slide a length of utility trim.
Don t cover the whole of the bay window with just one piece but rather cut it to fit the curve of the window.
To install vinyl siding to the soffit and fascia area on your home nail lengths of j channel along the inner edge of the fascia leaving the nail heads out about 1 32 to 1 16 of an inch.
You may need to use 4 or 5 pieces overlapped tightly to ensure that the whole of the curve is covered by the siding.
Lift the unlocked siding to expose the nailing hem of the siding piece below.
Then notch the next piece to fit.
