Remove loose matter from the fan parts with a paper towel or microfiber towel.
Turn off the branch circuit breaker on the service panel supplying power to the attic ventilation fan.
Disconnect the fan wiring.
Find where your fan blades are attached to the ceiling fan housing and motor.
Use a screwdriver to remove a single fan blade.
