How to repair vinyl siding outside corner.
Vinyl siding is installed from the bottom up so you must loosen it in the opposite direction.
Cut a piece of the vinyl trim you will use for the patch.
Use the utility knife to trim off the nailing flanges parts at the top and bottom that secure the trim to your house from the replacement piece.
You can t do that with vinyl corner pieces.
Slide the zip tool along the bottom edge to release the vinyl siding from the piece below it.
Do it until all but the last end cap are fastened in place.
Increase the spacing between the eaves and the top of the corner siding piece to 3 8 inch when the outside air.
15 minute vinyl siding repair with a zip tool starting at one end of the damaged piece push the end of the zip siding removal tool up under the siding until you feel it hook the bottom lip.
Slide the vinyl siding removal tool just under the bottom lip of the uppermost piece of vinyl siding and pry gently upwards.
The vinyl siding zip tool will save you loads of time.

You may want to wait for a warm day when the siding will be softer and more pliable.
Nail the cap down.
With damaged wood corner pieces you simply remove the damaged piece and replace it with a new one.
Put the next cap on repeating steps 3 and 4.
Use new nails when reattaching the siding to ensure secure attachment to the wall.
Starting at the bottom and working your way up the corner slip a replacement cap under the bottom edges of the panels above it.
First remove the corner piece then slide the zip tool under the siding and loosen it up.
