How to seal a slate roof.
Rub onto the surface of the slate in small circles.
To do this use the slate ripper to rip off the nail that hooks the slate onto the slate roof.
With good wire cutters you might also be able to cut off the head of the nail which will help.
Once you have covered the surface rub off any excess straight away with a clean cloth and allow to dry naturally.
Another option is to make your own by screwing a guillotine to a piece of plywood and making your own batten hook with a spare piece of batten this makes it stable and usable on the ground too.
Shake or stir well before use.
Ensure that the tile is dry enough to accept the sealer wait approx.
You might find problems removing the nail with the slate ripper.

Use a lint free cotton cloth an old t shirt works best apply a little of the sealer on to the cloth.
Repeat until the whole surface is covered.
