Use measuring tape and a straightedge to measure and mark the sheet metal.
How to write on copper sheet.
Remove the paper and tape from the metal sheet.
Cut the sheet metal so it s the same size as you want the print to be.
Place the copper shapes on a soft pad such as a dish towel and write plant names with a blunt pencil.
You may want to write them out on the paper template first to help with placement and then trace the paper over the copper piece to duplicate the letters.
Print out or draw your design on a piece of paper.
If you want the letters to stand out you can use a fine tip black marker such as a sharpie to trace the letters and help them be more visible.
Make sure you ve got steel under the copper sheet either an anvil or a bench block so you don t dent the metal as you stamp it.

Tape them to the copper sheet metal.
Try making different size stamps to vary the diameter of the stamped dots.
Cut out a piece of sheet metal using a pair of tin snips.
Make your own paper shapes and cut about 1 8 inch from the edges.
